Great show once again. The unknown card game mentioned (searching a cave/mine) is Diamant. You flip cards, some have a treasure number some have traps/disasters/ect. You flip cards, splitting the treasure cards as you go. When the second matching disaster flips up, all explorers in the mine/cave die. The trick is to decided (before the next card is flipped, to leave the cave. it's a press your luck game. Lots of fun.
Also, Source of the Nile is a great game. It is "old-style" Avalon Hill, with a tough rulebook, but it is worth the effort. The map is basically blank and you flip cards to discover the terrain in each hex as you go. The board is drawn on like the crayon train games. The cards are also used to discover new tribes, new animals, plants and outstanding formations. When you have a good expedition, the goal is to get back to England and publish your finds for the acclaim and VP's.
Question...are any of you guys going to be at the Oasis of Fun boardgame event on Saturday 6/21? If so, we should play something.
Todd
